As my husband and I prepare to move house, we are looking to aggressively declutter in order to reduce our moving costs. I tackled a relatively small piece of our hall closet today by finally clearing the floor of our reusable bag stash.
These have piled up far more than I would have thought possible. We've received so many of these bags of varying materials over the years. Conferences give them out as swag, shops will use flimsy ones in place of truly disposable bags, and I get plenty of branded bags from my various running events. I had also stuffed all of the free little string backpacks that I've gotten from work events and even charity events I've attended over the years.
Bags Kept: 10
String Backpacks to Donate: 6
Reusable Bags to Donate: 20 (!)
I selected 10 of the largest bags to keep, since I find myself reaching for the most spacious options when I'm out shopping. One of these is also insulated, even though I only use an insulated bag very occasionally. The rest, including all of the string backpacks, will be donated to my local library to be used in their giveaway programs.
